Tetris Wall

I did this game for a club in Basel, which had a Tetris themed night every week. It ran there on a big wall made up of 96 Shiftbrite RGB LEDs a friend of mine assembled. Using a costum arduino program we where able to run a framerate of more than 60 Hz. The program features the classic Tetris, playable with a Gamepad. Additional features included a VJ interface that allowed them to run costum animations on the wall....

Halloween Game 2008

I wrote this game just for fun experimenting with processing. I used some sprites I had created in 2003 but never used. You play a witch flying on your broom and collecting pumpkins, dodging the bad purple pumpkins. It features a unique way to control your character with the mouse, something I haven’t seen in sidescrollers before. tools Processing, Photoshop

Electro Juggle

I made this for the Christmass Hack 2006. The gaqme features my homebrew particle simulation using verlet integration. It is a puzzle game where you have to move the star to the target. It was not as well received as I would have liked but it was a lot of fun to code. tools C++, Allegro, Photoshop

Dwarf Draufnir

I made this game for the 6th Ludumdare Competition “Light/Darkness”. You play a Dwarf that is trapped in a deep deep mineshaft and has to escape. It was inspired by Icy Tower one of my favorite games at the time. You jump from platform to platform as it is dark in the mine you need to collect crystals to create light. A pickaxe helps you to stick to walls. The shadows and the sounds of the crystals work well to create a nice underground athmosphere....

Zombie Slaughter

I wrote this game for the 5th Ludum Dare. The Theme was “Random”. The Theme is matched by generating random terrain, which is destructable. As we all know destruction equals fun. Also with each level more zombies spawn and the music gets faster which adds to the madness. Particle blood and three different guns including a Flame Thrower catapulted this game to the 3rd place in the fun category....

Prepare For War

I wrote this game for the Ludum Dare #3 “Preparation” The Idea is to set up your turrets and let them take down enemy aircraft. Unfortunately your turrents aren’t that good so there is going to be destruction on your side. The style is very minimal and everything except for explosions is grey. I wanted it to convey a desolate feeling of war unavoidable, which was perceived by some as an anti war statement....

Ballerschaf

I wrote this game for the 2nd Ludumdare Game Jam. It features dynamite equiped zombie sheep that you have to destroy. You can run them over sheep with your tank or shoot them with mg and rockets. Running over healthy sheep results in point penalties. It was received as entertaining, although quite monotonous.

Attack from Alpha Planet

My first “real” game, that I made with the help from a few friends in school. It took us a week or so. I think I used vim and djgpp back then. Graphics were done with Paintshop Pro.
